　   Over the past two years we have experienced an increasing number of incidents of students cheating on examinations.  These students have brought unauthorized materials into the exam room and have referred to the material during the exam.  In these cases, the student has received a mark of zero on the examination and been suspended from the CGA program for one year.  This discipline has not curtailed the incidents of cheating.  As such we have introduced a zero tolerance policy with regard to cheating.  Cheating is a form of unethical behavior which is completely unacceptable for a professional.
　　Effective immediately, students caught cheating on examinations in any way, including bringing unauthorized material into the exam room, will be permanently expelled from the CGA Program.
　　Exam supervisors will seize any unauthorized material at the end of the exam session and prepare a report explaining the nature of the cheating.  This report will be forwarded to CGA Canada for review.  The student will have the opportunity to provide an explanation in writing.  In the event the exam supervisor’s report is accepted, the student will be permanently expelled.  If the student’s explanation is accepted, the student will be allowed to continue in the program.
　　Appendix 1 is the association’s policy regarding allowable exam room material.  If you need any further clarification, please contact the nearest association office in China.
　　If you properly prepare yourself for the examination, you will not need to resort to cheating.  Being expelled from the program will leave a stain on your reputation that will follow you forever.  You have worked hard to make it this far.  Don’t risk your future by a making a foolish decision.
