The company is trying to obtain rights not entitled to them. So this is bribery rather than grease money which is to obtain rights they are legally entitled to. Extortion is threatening closure of the company to get payments. Gifts sometimes are regarded as an essential part for negotiation but might appear unethical in some countries. |
