The purchase of an option on an option exchange does not involve the company so no new capital is brought to the company. When warrants are exercised the company receives new capital. The amount may be less than if a share was sold in the open market, but the exercise of the warrant still brings capital to the company. The conversion of convertible bonds does not bring new capital to the company. In a stock split there is no new capital received by the company making the split.
