　　Amidst ongoing global economic uncertainty and fragility, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty introduced a cautious “stay-the-course” budget plan, as the Government of Canada remains focused on turning the corner on the deficit and achieving a surplus in 2015.
 
　　Leading up to the 2014 budget plan, CGA-Canada made a number of recommendations to the federal government in the areas of government finances, taxation and regulation, skills and training, as well as growth and innovation.
